UJ Philosophy students expand environmental knowledge
at Czech Summer School

 

In early June 2024, four University of Johannesburg (UJ) Philosophy students attended the
Environmental Philosophy Summer School in the Czech Republic,
contributing to international discussions on animal and environmental ethics.

UJ – Bartin University Erasmus+ Exchange Programme

UJ – Bartin University Erasmus+ Exchange Programme

In 2023, Prof Catherine Botha went on a teaching exchange to Bartin University as part of the Erasmus+ exchange programme. In 2024, the three top MA students in the department, Franklyn Oguchukwu, Anthony Isong and Emmanuel Oboh spent six months at Bartin as part of the programme.

In October 2024, UJ Philosophy hosted Prof Sedat Yazici of Bartin University’s Philosophy department for a teaching exchange. In November 2024, Dr Tony Shabangu and Dr Dimpho Maponya will visit Bartin too. We look forward to hosting students from Bartin at UJ philosophy in 2025.
