The Centre for Applied Data Science within the School of Consumer Intelligence and Information Systems at the College of Business and Economics presents a

Four-day workshop on writing empirical papers for top-tier Journals

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE

The main objective of this seminar is to introduce participants to various conceptual approaches of applied data science and business analytics research, including how to identify a good research topic, develop
the motivation for research, formulate a theoretical framework and hypotheses, collect data to test the framework, and make a significant contribution. By the end of the workshop, all participants will have enhanced their theory-building skills, writing a cutting-edge empirical article in applied data science. Participants are encouraged to come with a draft paper that they would like to improve for submission to a top journal.
