About Dr Semona Pillay
Dr S Pillay the W&R SETA Leadership Chair: Gauteng and a lecturer at the Department of Marketing Management, based at the Bunting Road campus. She lectures various Marketing and Retailing modules on all levels from first year to Honours. She also supervises Honours and Masters students specializing in topics related to retailing, consumer behaviour and digital marketing which are her research interests. Her PhD topic focused on a Conceptual framework for online consumer decision making in emerging markets. Dr Pillay is passionate about creating a lasting impact by nurturing curiosity, fostering personal and academic growth, and championing lifelong learning and inclusivity amongst her students.
