Purpose
The purpose of this SLP is to prepare psychometrists to function effectively in any appropriate setting, including independent practice, by providing training and experience within the relevant scope of practice. The programme will prepare and give students entrance to the National Examination of the Professional Board for Psychology (HPCSA), after which they can register and practice as a psychometrist. As such the programme has a strong focus on theoretical aspect of testing and assessment.

Admission Requirements
Applicants need to be in possession of an Honours degree in Psychology or Industrial Psychology. With an assessment module passed in the honours degree. Knowledge and an understanding of basic psychometric principles and psychometry is required.

A further selection process will be conducted, upon which the College will notify you of its decision. Student number constraints necessitate a selection process.
