Programme Fees


Purpose

The purpose of the SLP in Pedagogy Skills for Teaching and Learning aims to align tutors, facilitators and lecturers with technological advances that have interrupted the teaching and learning practices and the world of work. The programme aims to upskill lecturers and teachers, by exposing them to shifting learning experiences that are in alignment with 4IR. The SLP’s objectives is to assist participants understanding of the evolution of teaching and learning in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, enable a display of innovative pedagogy skills through module refinement, develop a module plan to shift learning experiences to align with 4IR practices, and support the participants in developing class practical that incorporate complex problem solving skills and technology skills. The approval of this SLP would allow UJ to continue to be at the frontier of the evolution of teaching and learning, in the area of 4IR, through the expansion and transfer of knowledge to other educational institutions within South Africa.


Admission Requirements

Higher Certificate or NQF level 5 qualification. The candidate should be employed at a Community Education and Training Centre (CET) or a Technical and Vocational Education and Training College (TVET) or a University (Public or private) as a tutor or facilitator or lecturer.


Selection Process

Selection is based on academic credit.
