Programme Fees


Purpose

The purpose of the programme is to provide students with an academic learning opportunity to enter the hospitality industry at middle management level, able to utilise and apply critical thinking skills and problem solving techniques. The student should be able to demonstrate and understand how to plan, organize, lead and control initiatives in hospitality management and hospitality operations; skills in revenue management thinking; apply marketing and human resource management principles; understand supply chain and logistics, and differentiate and apply different research methodologies within tourism and hospitality settings.

Admission Requirements

The minimum admission requirements for the Advanced Diploma (Hospitality Management) are a Diploma in Food and Beverage Operations or National Diploma in Hospitality Management, both at NQF Level 6. Applicants with any other Hospitality Management or Food and Beverage Operations related Diploma with a minimum (at of NQF Level 6) will also be considered. A minimum of 60% for the combined third-year modules, for only NQF level 6 qualification, is required
