Mental Health and Spirituality – Ancestral Calling (Umoya: Ubizo), Christianity and Western Psychological Diagnosis
Many students claim to have an ancestral calling. Is it true or is it just a trend?
How do we distinguish between ancestral calling and Christian calling? Is there actually
a distinction? What is the role of spiritual leaders or psychologists with this? What is
psychology’s view? How do psychologists deal with students who come to them with
this challenge? Can mental health conditions be mistaken for ancestral calling?
