Purpose
This short course is an excellent opportunity for UJ staff, experienced supervisors, emerging scholars and Post-Doctoral Fellows to participate in a user-friendly environment, learning how to supervise postgraduate students who engage in qualitative research. The course offers comprehensive guidance and practical examples on how to navigate and supervise qualitative research designs and methodologies.
Supervisors in social and human sciences require an in-depth knowledge of social research, the various approaches, the philosophical, the practical, the analytical and the ethical elements, all of which are covered. The course also touches on the role of the literature study in qualitative research.
