Biography

​​Nicky De Wet is a lecturer at UJ and teaches years 1 -3 in the Civil Engineering Technology Department and the Extended Civil Engineering students in the ADC department. She also supervises Honors and final-year degree students with their research. She is studying toward her PhD in Civil Engineering, focusing on 3D printing. This research is exciting and new in South Africa and can help so many people in need. She has been teaching at UJ for 10 years and also studied for her degree and master’s at UJ. She loves teaching and inspiring young minds to always question everything. Nicky works hard and motivates her students to give their best daily. She works with compassion and understanding and treats each student as an amazing individual. “My children inspire me to always do my best and set a good example for them each and every day
