Learning Analytics for Virtual Reality (LAViR)
Learning Analytics for Virtual Reality (LAViR) is a collaborative project with the Swiss Distance University of Applied Sciences. The project that is funded by a Higher Ed XR Innovation Grant from Unity/ Meta involves the development and deployment of a VR science classroom for pre-service science teachers’ microlessons.

Culturally-anchored virtual and augmented reality simulations (CAVARS)
Culturally-anchored virtual and augmented reality simulations (CAVARS) is a project on the development of VR simulations for science teaching. The simulations are based on African cultural knowledge that is related to school science topics.
Collaborations
- Working with researchers from the Swiss Distance University of Applied Sciences on a project funded by Unity/Meta to build a virtual reality classroom for science pre-service microteaching.
- Working with Prof Yiyu Cai from the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, on the affordances of virtual and augmented reality (VAR) in science learning.
- Working with Prof Joe Krajcik from Michigan State University on project-based learning
- Working with Prof Timothy Teo from The Chinese University of Hong Kong on technology-enhanced learning in science education
