About Prof Francois Schulz

The focus of Prof. Schulz’ research has been on topics in spectral theory and the study of Banach algebras, which is a sub-discipline in Functional Analysis. Particularly, Prof. Schulz has been interested in generalized rank, trace and determinant, its link with the socle, and in the problems arising from Banach algebra mappings that preserve spectral properties. Additionally, Prof. Schulz’ area of specialization includes applications of complex analysis and potential or subharmonic function theory in abstract spectral theory, as well as spectral theory and preserver problems within the setting of C*-algebras.
