Purpose
The purpose of this SLP is to equip students and professionals with the knowledge and understanding of the ancient world. By providing a clearer understanding of which elements have influenced our modern-day life and formed the background to the development of religious texts such as the Bible. The skills attained in the course will be useful for any further academic studies in Humanities subjects, for working in the Education sector, and for interpreting contemporary religious texts like the Bible.
Career Opportunities
This SLP will focus on creating and increasing opportunities for work in the education sector and/or as a springboard for a full degree in Classical Cultures/Ancient History/Ancient Languages. The SLPwill also benefit religious organisations, especially churches, by increasing the knowledge base of their leaders.
