Purpose
This course is tailored for young, unemployed matriculants, graduates, and those interested in business and activism from an African feminist perspective. Participants will gain skills to contribute to gender studies, including diplomacy, negotiation, advocacy, research, and journalism. If you’re passionate about social justice, equality, and human rights, this course is for you. You will learn about:
• Getting Started with Feminism and Pan-Africanism
• Feminist Theories and Pan-Africanist Movements
• Exploring Gender and Race in Africa and the Diaspora
• Activism in Feminism and Pan-Africanism
• Culture, Identity, and Representation in Feminism and Pan-Africanism
• Social Justice and Community Organising
• Future Challenges and Directions in Feminism and Pan-Africanism
Admission Requirements
Interested students need to have a NQF level 4 or matric certificate or equivalent.
