  • Certificate in Cyber Security: This course, offered by the Academy of Computer Science and Software Engineering, comprises 45 credits and is available upon request. It is designed for individuals aiming to enhance their understanding of cyber security principles and practices. 
  • Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS): Provided by the Department of Geography, Environmental Management & Energy Studies, this 14-week course offers 30 credits and requires a diploma or degree in Science, Humanities, or Education. It equips participants with foundational GIS skills applicable in various sectors. 

Executive Education Programmes

The Johannesburg Business School (JBS) at UJ delivers executive education tailored for business leaders and professionals. These programmes focus on contemporary business challenges and digital transformation. Examples include:

  • Management Consulting for the 4IR: This short learning programme addresses the evolving landscape of management consulting in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, equipping participants with modern consulting skills.
  • The Storytelling Leader: This programme emphasizes the art of storytelling as a leadership tool, enhancing leaders’ ability to communicate effectively and inspire their teams. 

Vocational Training Initiatives

  • Higher Certificate in Business Management: Offered by the Department of Business Management, this programme provides foundational business management knowledge, enhancing career prospects in the business sector. 
  • Advanced Certificate in Business Management: Also provided by the Department of Business Management, this programme builds upon foundational knowledge, offering advanced insights into business management practices.
