About Dr Patrick Mubiayi
Materials Science and Environmental Engineering
Dr. M.P. Mubiayi’s research interests center on advancing materials science and environmental engineering through innovative fabrication techniques, Coal ash beneficiation, sustainable wastewater treatment, and enhanced mechanical properties of alloys and composites. By leveraging advanced processes like friction stir welding, photocatalytic degradation, and nanocomposite development, he addresses critical challenges in industrial applications and environmental remediation. As a versatile researcher, he specializes in the synthesis and characterization of low-cost, high-performance materials—such as natural clays, Coal ash, ceramic filters, and carbon nanotube-doped composites—with expertise in corrosion resistance, mechanical optimization, and pollutant removal. His work aims to drive sustainable solutions for water purification, waste management, and durable material design across engineering and environmental sectors.
