Club 15 Awards

Meet the 2024 Club 15 honourees, these top 15 students from each program within the Department of Marketing Management were celebrated for their outstanding academic achievements on April 15. The event, hosted by the department, included a ceremony where the students received certificates of excellence. The awards were presented by Dr Isolde Ward, HOD, and Dr Nicole Cunningham, Deputy HoD for Undergraduate Studies and Teaching & Learning.

Lunch was served alongside an inspiring presentation by Nompumelelo Maduna, former Miss Earth SA, department alumna, and current MCom candidate. Ms Maduna shared valuable insights from her transition from university to the professional world, emphasising the importance of being versatile in the expansive field of marketing. She encouraged students to value all aspects of their education, which will prove beneficial in their future careers.

The event concluded with an impactful message from Ms Maduna:

“Anyone can have a qualification or a crown and sash, but the power lies in how effectively they use it.“
