About Gert Roodt
Prof Gert holds a Doctorate in Industrial and Organisational Psychology, is a licensed psychologist and a registered Personnel Practitioner. He is currently leads the Centre for Work Performance at the Department of Industrial Psychology and People Management in the UJ Faculty of Management.
Prof Gert’s academic leadership is reflected in having chaired the Society for Industrial Psychology from 1995 to 1997. He also serves on advisory/editorial boards of several South African and international scholarly journals:
Gert is a member of the National Scholarly Editors’ Forum of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) and serves on the Advisory Council of the EAWOP conference organising committee. Other memberships include the following professional associations: US Academy of Management (AoM); International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP); Associate member of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP); SIOPSA; and a member of the SA Academy of Science and Technology.
