The Department of Civil Engineering Science offers undergraduate students a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering Science. This degree is fully accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). The program covers critical subjects in civil engineering science, such as structural engineering, water engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, and project management. Additionally, students will delve into sustainable urban development studies.

For postgraduate students, the department offers a Coursework-based master’s degree in Structural Engineering (MEng Structural Engineering). Research-based MEng and PhD programs are also available for students who wish to pursue any of the core civil engineering sub-disciplines.
