The University of Johannesburg is launching a call for a student exchange program funded by the Erasmus+ Grant. This grant provides financial support to students who want to study abroad at the University of Nova Gorica in Slovenia.
The Erasmus+ program offers three mobility types:
  1. Semester(s): For long-term study abroad (2-12 months) with optional virtual components.
  2. Blended (Short-term Physical): For short-term physical mobility (5-30 days) combined with compulsory virtual components.
  3. Short-term Doctoral: For doctoral candidates with short-term physical mobility (5-30 days) and optional virtual components.
The program is open to students enrolled in at least the second year of their first-stage studies in Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science at the University of Johannesburg.
Here are some of the benefits of the Erasmus+ Grant:
  • Financial support which includes an individual Erasmus+ grant, travel support, and financial support for visa and health insurance.
  • Priority will be given to students from environments with fewer opportunities such as students with disabilities, low-income family background, or single-parent families.
To apply for the Erasmus+ Grant, you will need to submit an application form, a letter of motivation, and proof of your average grade. The deadline for submitting an application is open until funds are available.

CALL FOR THE STAFF MOBILITY WITHIN THE ERASMUS+ KA171 PROGRAMME

Erasmus+CALL2024-2027_UJ_Staff_v2

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) invites applications for staff mobility to the University of Nova Gorica (UNG), Slovenia, under the Erasmus+ KA171 Programme for the period 01 June 2025 to 30 November 2027. This initiative supports teaching and training activities, enabling pedagogical staff to deliver lectures and professional staff to undertake training for professional development. Mobility durations range from 5 to 60 consecutive days, with a minimum of 5 days.

Eligible applicants are UJ staff in Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science, with priority given to first-time applicants and those with fewer opportunities. Two mobility slots of 14 days each are available.

To apply for the Erasmus+ Grant, you will need to submit an application form. Applications must be submitted electronically by 28 February 2025, with final selections based on eligibility and priority criteria. The deadline for submitting an application is open until funds are available.
