An Admission Point Score (APS) is a rating system developed for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) and the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) based on the achievement rating of each subject.
The total APS is the sum of the achievement ratings of the six best school subjects excluding Life Orientation (LO). Subjects used to calculate the total APS must include the required programme subjects.
