About Ms Athena Mary Clayton
Ms Athena Clayton is a lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Johannesburg. Her special area of interest is psychological assessment, psychometrics, and neurodiversity. She is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Educational Psychologist and has previously worked as a school-based Educational Psychologist. She is passionate about Educational Psychology, particularly psychological assessment. She is currently completing her PhD, which focuses on the updated psychometric properties of the SSAIS-R. She is also the programme coordinator of the B.Ed Honours in Educational Psychology Programme as well as a clinical and research supervisor in the M.Ed Educational Psychology Programme. She has presented her research at international and national conferences.
