About Ms. Casey Bremner

Casey Bremner is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Childhood Education, where she specializes in teaching first, second, and third-year Geography. She earned her BEd degree at the University of Johannesburg and later completed her honours, with a thesis focusing on the challenges faced by in-service English teachers during oral assessments. Casey then began her Master’s studies, and her dissertation explores the use of Mixed Reality Simulation to enhance student teachers’ questioning techniques in the intermediate phase classroom. In 2019, she joined the Department of Childhood Education as a Geography and Methodology Geography tutor and later progressed to become a senior tutor for the Teaching practicum and methodology module for fourth-year intermediate phase students in 2022. Additionally, she also served as a part-time lecturer in 2022, teaching second-year Geography in primary school. Casey Bremner is now an Assistant Lecturer and finds great joy in her role.
