About Daniel Marais
Daniel Marais (PhD). While building a career in the petrochemical corporate environment, Daniel contributed, in a part-time academic capacity at the University of Johannesburg, during which he lectured and published research papers in the fields of econometrics and financial economics. Daniel’s prime focus is the scientific computation and simulation of corporate issues on strategic and tactical levels, with the goal to enhance the quality of business decision-making. Most of his contributions address decisions concerning econometric forecasting, financial viability, socio-economic benefit assessment with Input-Output and Computable General Equilibrium analysis, artificial intelligence methodologies, as well as environmental preservation.
