About Dr. Houshmand Masoumi

Dr. Houshmand Masoumi is a senior researcher at Technische Universität Berlin (TUB), Germany, and visiting Associate Professor at the Department of Transport and Supply Chain Management of University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His research interests include statistical modeling of urban travel behavior, land use – transportation interactions, urban sprawl and travel behavior, the relation between urban travel and public health, and the travel behavior analysis of special demographic and age groups. As research group leader at TUB, he is focused on German sources like German Research Foundation as well as European Commission with a strong emphasis on Erasmus+ program. He has published more than 70 publications with strong emphasis on peer-reviews journals papers in the fields of urban transportation and urban planning.
