About Ms Henriëtte Ueckermann
Research Interests
Henriette joined the UJ Geology Department as an Instrument Scientist to manage the Laser Ablation Multi Collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA-MC-ICPMS) laboratory. She had many years of experience in the application of a range of analytical methods, which, combined with a background in Geology, makes for a good fit to oversee isotope ratio and trace element analyses at UJ Geology. Currently she lectures for the first year Geology students, while being partly responsible for the LA-MC-ICPMS laboratory. Her main research interests include geochemistry and forensic geology. She is currently working on her PhD studies on the use of B and Li isotopes for the profiling of gemstones.
