About Ms Kiyara Bellochun

Kiyara is an alumnus of the University of Johannesburg (UJ), where she completed both her B.Ed and B.Ed Honours in Childhood Education. During her undergraduate studies, she was recognised as the Top Achiever in her third year and served as a tutor in the Faculty of Education for three years. Kiyara is currently pursuing her M.Ed in Childhood Education. Prior to her current role as an assistant lecturer, she served as the Project Coordinator for Creative Coding and Robotics at UJ’s Faculty of Education for just over a year. Her research interests encompass mathematics, creative coding and robotics, computational thinking, and pre-service teacher education.

Research Interests:

Mathematics teaching and learning, Creative Coding and it’s contribution to learning in the 21st century, computational thinking and mathematics and pre-service teacher education.
