Biography
Bukanga is passionate mining engineer with many years of experience in the mining industry in Africa, including diamond open pit mine operations, diamond ore processing and Tertiary Education. Bukanga was employed as “Attaché Technique” des Exploitations (Open pit mine overseer) for several years, then promoted “Chef du Service des Laveries” at MINIERE DE BAKWANGA (Diamond Plant Superintendent) in the DRC before he joined the Tertiary Education in South Africa including successively the Western College for FET (Krugersdorp west), University of South Africa and since 2011, the University of Johannesburg where he is teaching various mine engineering modules in the second year of the Mining Programme. Bukanga holds a B.Eng Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Lubumbashi and is currently busy with his Master Degree in the field of Mine Planning and Scheduling with the University of South Africa.
