About Mr Ntando Ngwenya
Ntando Ngwenya is a qualified professional geologist and lecturer at the University of Johannesburg (DFC) who currently holds an MSc qualification, with research focused on diamondiferous lamproites in eastern Zambia completed under the supervision of Prof. Sebastian Tappe. He is currently completing his PhD studies focused broadly on diamondiferous deposits in sub-Saharan Africa, while responsible for teaching introductory geology courses to beginner level engineering students.
Research interests:
Geochemistry of kimberlites and lamproites; mantle petrology; mineralogy; economic geology; geometallurgy
