About Mr. Sufiyan Mallu

Sufiyan Arif Mallu is in the final year of his PhD in Mathematics at the University of Johannesburg, under the supervision of P. Dankelmann and S. Mafunda. He completed his undergraduate, Honours, and MSc degrees at the same institution and has published several research papers in esteemed journals.  His research focuses on graph theory, particularly distance parameters. He is also interested in distances in graphs and digraphs, graph colourings, number theory, burning numbers of graphs, and pebbling numbers of graphs.  Mallu has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences, earning awards for best presentations. Beyond research, he is actively engaged in mathematics education and outreach. He has participated in initiatives by the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA), promoting mathematical awareness and engagement among broader audiences.
