About Ms C Johannes
Ms Chloe Johannes is a lecturer in the Department of Mercantile Law at the Law Faculty of the University of Johannesburg, and teaches private international law. She joined the faculty of law in 2018, from the University of the Free State where she lectured business enterprise law and commercial law. Ms Johannes obtained her LLB degree from the University of the Western Cape, where she graduated as a dean’s merit scholar. Thereafter she attained her master’s (LLM) in Shipping law (cum laude/with distinction) from the University of Cape Town. Her research interests include maritime law and private international law. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at the University of Antwerp (Belgium) in the fields of maritime and private international law/ in her fields of interest.
