About Ms Matshidiso Mahase

Ms. Matshidiso Mahase is an assistant lecturer in the Childhood Department, equipped with academic achievements. She holds a Bachelor of Education Degree in Senior Phase and FET, specialising in English Language and School Guidance and Support. Her pursuit of knowledge continued with an Honours Degree in Childhood Education, focusing on Literacy and Social Sciences and Culture, followed by a Masters in Childhood Education exploring school-university partnerships. Currently enrolled in her first year of PhD studies, her research centers on school-university partnerships in primary education, particularly examining the University of Johannesburg’s online Initial Teacher Education programme’s integration of theory and practice. Beyond academia, Ms. Mahase is committed to philanthropy, aspiring to actively engage in community projects targeting underprivileged children. Her goal is to enhance their literacy and life skills, empowering them for future success. Ms. Mahase’s scholarly endeavors and altruistic initiatives underscore her profound commitment to educational advancement and social equity.
