About Prof Cora Burnett

Prof Burnett is the Director of the UJ Olympic Studies Centre. The majority of her global, regional and national research projects focus on impact assessments within the sport, health, educational and corporate (CSI) sectors. Sport for Development and Peace projects feature centrally in a variety of research at different levels, including stakeholder mapping, policy development, positive-youth development (PYD) and gender empowerment. Sociological and anthropological perspectives on sport features centrally in her research.
