About Prof Petronella Jonck

Professor Petronella Jonck is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Johannesburg within the Department of Industrial Psychology and People Management. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Central University of Technology, Free State in the Faculty of Management Sciences in Research Management. Petronella obtained her PhD in Psychology at the University of the Free State and is a registered Psychologist with the Health Practitioners Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Prof Jonck is a NRF C rated researcher. To date her research outputs, include more than 40 accredited journal articles and numerous other research documents. Prof Jonck was a supervisor for the Southern African Young Scientist Summer Program (SA-YSSP) that was hosted at the University of the Free State in collaboration with the International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis in Vienna, Austria in addition to supervising other postgraduate students. Her research focus areas include career psychology, psychology, industrial psychology, and human capital development. Prof Jonck lectures Psychometric Theory and Research Methodology.

Research Interests: Career anxiety, Responsible Leadership, Dark Triad and Decent work.
