About Refilwe Lukhwareni
Mrs. Lukhwareni is an aquatic ecologist trained in fish health. Her research focuses on employing histopathology, and ultrastructural assessment techniques, alongside the utilisation of biomarkers, bioaccumulation studies, and evaluation of fish age to assess environmental and physiological impacts on aquatic organisms. Her interdisciplinary background in Human Physiology and Biochemistry informs her approach to ecological and environmental health studies. She imparts her knowledge of Physiology to undergraduate students at the second-year level in the Basic physiological concepts and movement module.
