UJ Rowing Club was established in 2005 and aims to provide student-rowers with the best opportunities to unlock their potential of becoming national and world-class rowers. The Club has a well-established record of producing rowers that continue from University into representing Senior National Rowing Teams. Some of our Alumni include: Sizwe Ndlovu, Peter Lambert, Naydene Smith, Kirsten McCann, Micheen Thornycroft and Kate Christowitz who have gone on to make remarkable strides on the international stage.
UJ Rowing values the role of education therefore, individual training sessions are provided in order to ensure that every rower’s academic performance is maintained.
