Purpose
The purpose of this SLP is to assist IT professionals to develop an overall understanding of cloud computing concepts, Amazon Web Services (AWS) core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support and prepare them for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam*. The AWS Academy’s Cloud Computing Foundations is also intended for students who seek an overall understanding of cloud computing concepts, independent of specific technical roles. * Registering and writing the AWS Certified Solutions Architect–Associate exam is the responsibility of the IT professional.
Admission Requirements
A relevant NQF level 7, (360 credit) Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Informatics or equivalent; OR An appropriate Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Informatics (120 credits and NQF level 7).
