Duration of Study: This programme is offered through a fulltime (12 months) or part-time (18 months) study.
Purpose
The purpose of the qualification is to develop postgraduate students with research skills, and a good knowledge base in the field of Machine Learning Engineering. Students are prepared for work in the fields of Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science and Data Engineering. In this manner, the programme will further skills development in a specialist area, serve to assist industry professionals in upskilling, and diminish the skill shortage within industry, while promoting lifelong learning and an aptitude for developing aligned skills.

Admission Requirements
An honours degree or equivalent in one of the following qualifiers: Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field. Or a cognate qualification at NQF level 8.
